As the Head of SEO (f/m/div) for our Berlin-based team, you will be responsible for leading a large department, ensuring international alignment in workflows, and driving innovation in our SEO service offering on a local & global scale. You will also play a crucial role in client development, helping to grow and retain our client base through exceptional service delivery from your teams, pro-active account development and thought leadership (internal + external).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large team of SEO experts (f/m/div), ensuring that they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with company goals and strategies.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop comprehensive SEO strategies that deliver results.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to help drive client success and differentiate our agency from competitors.
• Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistent and effective workflows across all regions.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and work to continuously improve our service offering and methodology.
• Work with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, helping to grow and retain our client base.
• Act as a thought leader in the industry, sharing insights and knowledge through blog posts, speaking engagements, and other forms of thought leadership

YOU

• Proven experience as a SEO leader or senior manager (min 8 years), preferably in an agency setting, with at least 2 years experience in leadership roles
• Deep understanding of SEO strategy & business impact, with the ability to develop and execute effective strategies for clients.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of experts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop efficient and sustainable solutions to complex challenges.
• Proficiency in German and English is required.
• Experience working with international teams and a diverse client base is preferred.
• A degree in marketing, economics or a related field is preferred, but not required.
