ABOUT THE ROLE
The consumer marketing team at Leafly is looking for an SEO Content Manager to identify and prioritize opportunities for new content and content refreshes goals on driving traffic. This person will also manage development of content creation and QA content implementation to ensure maximum traffic impact. We need someone who is experienced in developing content strategies and optimization tactics, data analysis, project management, ability to manage multiple workflows, and is comfortable taking ownership over their work streams and responsibilities.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
  • Develop content strategies and identify new and existing on-page optimization opportunities for multiple site sections on www.leafly.com using industry standard traffic and keyword reporting tools
  • Perform ongoing competitive, keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization research
  • Project manage and collaborate with junior SEO team members, internal teams and vendors to ensure SEO best practices are met and content is implemented in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report on organic performance of optimized pages to the SEO and other internal teams
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure SEO best practices are met and are QA’ed for proper implementation on newly developed code
  • Collaborate with the Content team to help QA and ensure SEO best practices are being followed on new and existing pages
  • Evangelize SEO best practices throughout company
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and schema Markup
  • Keep up with trends and best practices
  • Provide training and education to junior members or internal teams
  • Develop internal content driven processes or SOPs for internal teams

WHAT YOU BRING
  • At least 3 years of SEO experience, ideally within a consumer internet or marketplace company
  • Proficient in keyword intent, on-page optimization, content hubs, on and off page ranking factors, search trends, and search engine algorithms
  • Proficient in conducting data analysis via industry standard keyword research and traffic analytics tools
  • Proficient in creating actionable insights using data to improve organic traffic
  • Experience in training, delegating tasks, and QA’ing work of junior team members
  • Detail oriented. Detail oriented. Did we mention detail-oriented?
  • Proactive, collaborative, and clear communication style in both written and verbal communications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented, and deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated track record of applying organizational and project management skills to help deliver project or campaign objectives
